Cotuit Center for the Arts
Mikael Carstanjen and Mary Doering often photograph at the same location—a Provincetown playground, local beaches and fish piers, Maine boatyards, an abandoned train station, and their own garden. The inspiration for this exhibit comes from the idea; It’s not what you look at, but what you see. Their work is part of four interrelated art exhibits at CCftA, including the huge collaborative installation Piece by Piece.
